SUSPENDED FOREVER is based on a true story. From June 30th 2023 - Present day, I have been getting suspended, unsuspended and resuspended from Instagram every single day. It all started when I posted a clip of this music video I directed. I don't know why I was suspended. I was never explicitly told what was wrong with my video. I'm going to assume it's because there are pills falling from the sky at 0:59.It all started when the music video clip I posted on Instagram got flagged for going against Community Guidelines. The message I received specifically stated, "We don't allow people on Instagram to buy, sell or exchange items that governments have restricted or banned." This clearly made no sense. I appealed the decision, and almost immediately the post was brought back. The next day, for the first time ever, my account was suspended out of nowhere. I then struggled to get my account back for weeks... Eventually I developed a routine of getting my account back every day by filling out forms until I got unsuspended. But every time I got unsuspended I would get resuspended just a few hours later... I was stuck in an infinite loop.I didn't want this situation to prevent/haunt me from making art, so I decided to make SUSPENDED FOREVER which is the embodiment of me venting my frustrations. Making a clear mockery of the robotic blindness of Instagram and its guidelines. Showcasing the hypocrisy of what "real" content that is allowed on Instagram looks like... I regularly see posts that clearly go against Community Guidelines, yet no action gets taken on their accounts.Some more information... I bought the $15 meta subscription just so I can access chat support. But the chat & email support exclusively typed to me in broken English and would respond to me as a typical robot would. I then decided to delete everything on my Instagram as a last resort after already having deleted the post that seemed to trigger the issue. I still was suspended, despite having nothing on my account. I have tried everything and more than just what I've typed here...I currently have no access to Instagram and have actually been IP banned. I can't access my account that I've had for 10 years, and I also can't make a new one without it being instantly suspended. All I can do now is try to post within the time windows where I'm unsuspended (which only lasts a couple of hours a day). It is a little scary to realize how much I rely on Instagram for connections and work, and how quickly it can be wrongfully taken away from me with no option for resolution.*Update* - My account has officially been "permanently disabled."

After I created the NO SAFETY! video I sent it to Digital Nas (DN) and through that, I worked with him to create a promotional video for his song "GHD (gun him down)." His one request was that I used footage from the ongoing protests. I also asked him to send me some videos of him singing, to bring the idea I had to life.DN and I both felt strongly about this piece. Unfortunately, there were some negative interpretations of the video on social media. Shortly after, DN started producing on Donda with Kanye West (Ye) and began to change his image. A handful of months later, DN removed his song from all platforms, and the video from his Instagram.My sole intention was to create a chaotic visual experience that went hand in hand with DN's tone and overall delivery of the song.
